Our Union’s Mission

We fight for the interests of our hard-working members and promote healthy and safe environments for our members. We negotiate collective bargaining contracts between our members and our employees that provides the best work environment and wages that meet industry expectations.

 

All employees and deputies whose job classification is within the bargaining unit which is presently represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union 1197 and who perform any service for the benefit of JTA are represented by elected officials chosen by their peers.
